Alnico and Ferrite<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A permanent magnet is a body that generates a magnetic field and allows you to move ferromagnetic materials and attract or repel two magnets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The most popular magnetic materials include <a aria-label=\"sintered neodymium (NdFeB) (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/garnet.it\/en\/prod\/sintered-neodymium-iron-boron-ndfeb-magnets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"rank-math-link\">sintered Neodymium (NdFeB)<\/a>, <a aria-label=\"sintered Samarium Cobalt (Sm2Co17) (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/garnet.it\/en\/prod\/samarium-cobalt-smco-sintered-magnets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"rank-math-link\">sintered Samarium Cobalt (Sm2Co17)<\/a>, <a aria-label=\"hard Ferrite (HF (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/garnet.it\/en\/prod\/sintered-ferrite-magnets\/\" class=\"rank-math-link\">sintered Aluminum-Nickel-Cobalt (AlNiCo)<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of these magnetic materials has properties that distinguish them from each other, which can be selected from the following characteristics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Energy density (or energy product BH);<\/li><li>Coercivity (the strength of the magnetic field necessary for the complete demagnetization of a ferromagnetic material);<\/li><li>Temperature stability;<\/li><li>Electrical resistance;<\/li><li>Corrosion resistance;<\/li><li>Thermal conductivity;<\/li><li>Costs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sintered neodymium (NdFeB) <\/strong>has a high energy density (high Br and BH values) and good coercivity (HcJ), as well as good resistance to temperatures (-40 \u00b0 \/ + 220 \u00b0 C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, they are suitable for use in applications where the presence of a high magnetic field is essential, such as electric motors, alternators and generators, medical applications, separation and lifting systems for the mining industry, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sintered Samarium Cobalt (Sm2Co17)<\/strong>, unlike Neodymium, is a very resistant material to corrosion and has a high resistance to temperatures (up to + 350 \u00b0 C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also have a good energy density (Br and BH values) and thanks to these characteristics they are used in applications where the magnet is in contact with liquids or chemical fluids, at high operating temperatures and which require generous magnetic performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sintered AlNiCo magnets<\/strong> consist of an alloy of Aluminum (Al), Nickel (Ni) and Cobalt (Co).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like sintered ferrite magnetic materials, they are very resistant to corrosion. In this case the magnet can be magnetized in all directions, but the energy density remains low. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>anisotropic ferrite: made by pressing the powders mixed with liquid catalysts (&#8220;wet&#8221; process).
