SPG’s new high-precision harmonic gears, the SH series, are a very compact zero-backlash reduction system.
They have outstanding positioning accuracy and repeatability.
The transmission technology of the new SH gears is based on the elasticity and flexibility characteristics of a single mechanical structure.
This structure consists of three elements:
1. Wave generator
2. Flex spline
3. Circular spline.
Wave generator is an elliptical steel disc inside the gearbox with a central hub and a special elliptically deformable cross roller bearing.
Flex spline has a smaller diameter and a smaller number of teeth than the circular spline, which is the rigid, cylindrical outer element that surrounds the wave generator and flexspline.
The simple structure and high efficiency means that these reducers offer the following advantages:
– zero backlash
– compact dimensions with high reduction ratios
– precision of positioning
– repeatability
– torsional stiffness
– high power density.
Available in 5 sizes from diameter 50 to diameter 110 mm.
Reduction ratios from 1/50 to 1/200
