Inertial measurement unit FOG & MEMS combined IMU - Tamagawa

Tamagawa inertial measurement unit

IMU (inertial measurement unit) is the system based on inertial sensors used to monitor the dynamics of a moving vehicle.
Tamagawa‘s FOG & MEMS combined IMU inertial measurement unit is the new sensor used to measure the position, acceleration and orientation of movements in three-dimensional space.

FOG & MEMS combined IMU is the new combination of MEMS and FOG, designed to achieve the precision of MEMS gyroscopes and FOG fiber optic gyroscopes in a single unit.

Incorporates a 3-axis gyroscope (i-FOG for the Z axis; MEMS gyroscope for the X and Y axis) and accelerometers, which measure angular velocity and acceleration, and calculate attitude (roll and pitch ) and management.

Tamagawa inertial measurement unit is suitable for many applications; IMU measures the various types of movement in vehicle dynamics, attitude (roll & pich) and angle direction.

  • Driverless automatic cars, where the IMU is connected to an external GNSS
  • Unmanned construction machines
  • Unmanned agricultural machinery
  • Security robot
  • Drones
  • Trains
  • Ships
