Cycloidal Gearboxes SPG

SPG’s new SR series of cycloidal gearboxes, was created for use in all applications requiring particularly high precision, such as machine tools, robotics or medical technology where robust and durable precision gearboxes are required.

The construction technology of cycloidal gearboxes is based on eccentric gears with a cycloidal profile. The advantage of this solution is the very low contact pressure since it transmits force by rotation and not by tooth stress.

They offer the following advantages:
– Ideal where positioning accuracy is of paramount importance
– Backlash remains virtually unchanged over time
– Provide zero backlash even at high speeds and high accelerations

Compared to their design, cycloidal gearboxes are significantly stiffer and therefore more compact, and provide overload resistance of up to 500% of rated torque.

Available in 15 sizes from diameter 122 mm. up to diameter 475 mm.

Reduction ratios start from 27:1 up to 210:1 in a single stage.
