The client needed to be able to produce up to 5,000 data storage units per year, and had previously used a competitor’s motor that didn’t fit its application properly, with the result that half the produced applications were defective. Nippon Pulse assisted in creating a custom motor solution that dramatically improved production quality.

Nippon Pulse worked with the client to modify the flange and lead screw. They also repositioned the lead wire housing and added a new locater component for assembly.
With the new custom motor design, the client saw a vast improvement in its step vs. error ratio, and was able to manufacture its products without loss of materials.
