Ezi-Step II EtherCAT is part of the family of drives for Fastech stepper motors with open loop control, which in addition uses the EtherCAT communication protocol, the high speed field bus (100 Mbps full duplex).
The Ezi-Step motors have no feedback signal and can be driven exactly like a traditional stepper motor, with the additional function of monitoring the possible loss of motor pitch if the speed exceeds 300 rpm.
